IRS Form 1095-C is filed with the IRS by the applicable large employers (ALE) who offers health coverage and enrollment in health coverage to their employees. Employers with 50 or more full-time employees are considered ALEs.

The IRS considered reducing the threshold limit for paper filing to increase the efficiency and processing time of the filed returns.
The IRS has proposed reducing the paper-filing threshold from 250 to 100 for 2022 tax year filings. In coming years, this number would decrease to just 10 forms, requiring even the smallest businesses to e-file.
What are the recent updates to Form 1095-C for the 2021 Tax Year?
